A few highlights of this week
Monday: walking up Karren (a nearby peak) in the dark to see the sunrise. Mirjam, Hugo and I all went together although also somehow managed to go up individually, meeting at the top. It was freezing but very pretty with the snow-looking clouds covering Dornbirn. Cycling back Mirjam and I stacked it on black ice on our bikes. Winter is coming although it has been super sunny this week.
Tuesday: was Mir’s birthday. Loeki, Jasmine, Mir and I went out to breakfast at Cafesito for bagels and oreo frappes before going shopping and grabbing some Gluhwein at the Christmas markets. That evening we made sushi and enjoyed it with cake and oreo balls. It was a great day to celebrate a great friend (awww).
Wednesday: football in the evening.
Thursday: Gluhwein at school before heading to the Christmas markets for jacket potatoes. Filling yet amazing.
Saturday: Joey organised Beer Olympics for the Erasmus students in light of his and Willem’s birthday and this being one of the final times we’ll all celebrate together. He organised Mohren Beer (a local Vorarlberg Brewery) to provide 240L of Austrian beer for the exchange students and some local friends. I was on TEAM USA and despite not winning, we had some pretty killer ourtfits ft. American lederhosen, RayBans and Donald Trump. After rounds of beer pong, jenga, flip cup, quarters and battle shots we hung out and enjoyed what will be my last Saturday night with these guys. Super sad. Going to miss them a lot.
