An uneventful week this week featuring the thrills of a few laughable first-world obstacles (multiple flat tyres resulting in late night repairs with Maddy, a few days with no bike which didn’t help what has been a week long irritating foot injury, corrupted computer files, no internet, stressful quick turnover design projects.) Although annoying at the time it also made me realise that if my biggest problems can be cured by a mid week sauna session amongst friends, I have a seriously good life.
The week ended on a high note though with a lovely housewarming/birthday celebration at Maddy’s house on Friday night. Company was great and the food arguably greater. Emily brought marvellous creations from Australia and peanut butter TimTams which I’m yet to try but super keen for.
Saturday I tried to sleep in, caught up with some super solid Sydney friends on the phone, then hung out with my housemates for a bit before meeting up with Jasmine in the afternoon. That night, her, Loeki and I had dinner before heading off the yet another Oktoberfest in Hohenehms with the exchange students and Camille and her French friends. Unlike Stuttgart this was an evening event which was a quasi Oktoberfest disco. Different but nonetheless enjoyable particularly due to “Hey Baby” being performed (probably for the first time since 2004) and trying to convince strangers that we were firefighters.
PS highlight of the week was probably talking to Jena ie the best thing to come out of Kansas City (there you go my friend)
Sorry about the shocking purple quality btw
